1 Rules of courtesy and respect for other players

  • If someone invites you to play, reply... even if it is to decline the invitation.

  • Make sure you have time available before you accept an invitation. A game of Blokus® lasts an average of 20 to 30 minutes. Don’t give up in the middle of a game.

  • Be welcoming towards beginners : share your art, try to sometimes agree to play against those who are less experienced than you! The other players will be grateful that you were kind enough to offer them a demonstration and advice.

  • Be open to the international dimension of this community.Today Blokus.com brings together players from more than 80 countries. In most cases, the players talk to each other in English, whether or not it is their mother tongue. You should therefore be indulgent if the person you are talking to uses unorthodox syntax in their speech. Also remember to take into account the different time zones before you start a game… if it is 4 pm where you are, it might be midnight in Japan!

  • Tone down your language. Under no circumstances should you insult or belittle your partner or the other players present on the site.

  • Identify yourself ! Don’t log on deliberately as a spy-guest if the players on this site know you… or if you do, you only have yourself to blame if you come across some unflattering comments on your most recent strategy.

  • Respect the points system and the ranking which is valid for everyone.

  • This is all designed to preserve the spirit of Blokus® and the friendly atmosphere which we appreciate so much !

2 Child protection

  • Keep in mind that Blokus® is designed for players of all ages, both adults and children. Make sure that you tone down your language and don’t make any remarks which may be inappropriate for young ears. In this connection, consult the Charter for Child Protection.

  • Notify any instances of abuse that you may have witnessed. This will allow us to act quickly and to take the necessary measures.
